Smiling man holds a large muskie fish, a successful catch

Hire an expert fishing guide with Eagle River fishing guide service.

I am a very passionate angler who has over a decade of fishing experience on the many lakes in the Eagle River area. This has allowed me to become an expert on the waters and start guiding the very waters that my grandpa first taught me how to fish on almost 2 decades ago. My passion in life is to be able to take people fishing and teach them some of the fishing traditions passed down through many generations. There is nothing more fulfilling in life than sharing knowledge with others, especially the next generation(s). By teaching you how to master the tactics used to catch more fish I hope to inspire your love for fishing to grow and enable you to become a successful angler.

The fishing addiction

Just like everyone else, I started with a very basic knowledge of fishing . It all started by just using minnows and fishing shallow weeds.  As I got older, I realized fishing did not just turn off. The fish moved off those same weed beds we caught them in during the spring. So as I got older, I started to take a more in-depth look at the way I was approaching the problem at hand. As I started to pay closer attention, I started trying new tactics like fishing deeper, or fishing humps. As I implemented some of these new tactics, I started to catch more fish. Over the years of endless hours on the water, trial and error, and figuring out fish's movement patterns, I began to understand that at different times of the year and in certain conditions, the fish will hold in different areas. Being able to follow these fish throughout the year and learning their patterns only comes with years of experience and countless hours spent on the water. This is what has allowed me to able to follow fish from the shallow weed and rock structures out into deeper, more open water structures, and target pelagic fish successfully.
